News & Announcements

Easter Egg Hunt

Following the Apr 5th 10:30 service, there will be an Easter Egg Hunt. For small children, the Egg Hunt will take place in the enclosed area of the playground. For older kids, they will seek their eggs behind the church outside the playground. Once they collect their eggs, please go to the Fellowship Hall to pick out your prizes. A blessed Easter to all!

Good Friday Tenebrae

7:00 pm Friday 4/2. This service is a service of darkness in which we remember the final “seven words” of Jesus on the cross and his final loving actions in winning our salvation. The church is progressively darkened and candles extinguished to recount Jesus’ crucifixion and death. But one light remains to remind us of the new life (Easter) that is to come.

Lunch Bunch Apr 15th

Lunch Bunch will take place on Wednesday, April 15, at 11:30am. Lunch will be served here at church for our older and/or retired members and friends. If you would like to attend please sign up on the entryway table. If you have questions, please talk with Doris Harvey or Pastor Holz.

Friday Night Bonfire

Friday, April 17, we will be having a bonfire night. Bring a chair, any games you would like for the kids, and enjoy some time to fellowship and relax. Hot dogs and s’mores will be provided. The fire will be lit at 6pm.

Congratulations

Baptism congratulations and God’s blessings today to Theodore Lem Borders. He is the son of Jordan and Laurel Borders. May God keep Theodore in his baptismal grace all the days of his life.

Would You Like To Learn More?

Whether this is the first time that you have been in church or this is something that you have done your whole life, there is always more to learn. We have Bible Information classes (BIC) which are a summary of the main message of the Bible. This class is also our pre-membership class. We also have mid-week Bible Study starting on April 15 (Wednesday) at 6pm in the fellowship hall. We also have every Sunday, Bible Study and Sunday School for all ages. These classes start at 9:30am on Sundays. Nothing is required. All are welcome!

Easter Breakfast

There will be an Easter breakfast at 9:00 am on Easter Sunday. Eggs, sausage and breakfast staples will be provided, but we are in need of fruit, pastries and other breakfast items for Easter breakfast. Lawn Maintenance

We are looking for volunteers to cut the grass throughout the summer. We have a zero-turn lawn mower, trimmer, and leaf blower. We even provide the gas! What we need are people willing to spend some time on a Friday or Saturday getting the property ready for church on Sunday. If you would like to help, please see the sign-up sheet in the entryway. If you have questions, please talk to Mac McCoo.

New Bible Study

We have begun a new adult Sunday Bible Study called, “The Glory of Living Under the Cross”. Historically, the cross was a place of shame, pain, and death. Jesus endured that shame, and then overcame it with his resurrection from the dead. As we live in faith, our future glory is now hidden. The world may even mock the idea of future glory. But with Jesus, we experience the hidden glory of the cross. Class is open to all and meets in the fellowship hall at 9:30 am.

Moms and Dads, our Mornings With Mommy has returned. All Mornings With Mommy start at 9am. Dates and themes for the Spring Schedule are: Monday, March 16 – Jesus is Risen! Holy Week

Palm Sunday, March 29, 10:30am We will walk with Jesus into Jerusalem as we remember the steps he took to win our salvation. We will begin our worship outside the sanctuary in the entryway area. We will each receive a palm branch and march into the sanctuary singing a hymn and laying our palm branch at the foot of the cross and be seated. Then we will hear the details of both Jesus’ love and sacrifice! Holy Thursday, April 2, 7pm This is a special communion service that commemorates both the “new command” that Jesus gave to his disciples to “love one another”, and also the gift of his body and blood to us in the Lord’s Supper. Pastor Holz has received a call to serve at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Richland Center, Wisconsin. Bethlehem is a small church that started seven years ago as a mission church.
