January 25, 2026
As part of our 25th Anniversary, new altar paraments were created. During the season of Epiphany (and also Pentecost this summer) you will see the green altar cloth. Green symbolizes new life and growth, and symbolizes the gathering in of the Gentiles and the new life that comes with the revelation of Christ to the world. The Greek letters X (chi) and r (rho) are the first two letters for the name of Jesus in Greek (cristos). And the stalks of wheat on the sides of the altar cloth symbolize the growth in faith through the revealing of God’s Son to the world.
