News & Announcements

An open bible
New Bible Study

We have begun a new adult Sunday Bible Study called, “The Glory of Living Under the Cross”. Historically, the cross was a place of shame, pain, and death. Jesus endured that shame, and then overcame it with his resurrection from the dead. As we live in faith, our future glory is now hidden. The world may even mock the idea of future glory. But with Jesus, we experience the hidden glory of the cross. Class is open to all and meets in the fellowship hall at 9:30 am.

Morning With Mommy

Moms and Dads, our Mornings With Mommy has returned. All Mornings With Mommy start at 9am. Dates and themes for the Spring Schedule are: Monday, March 16 – Jesus is Risen! Monday, April 20 – Rain, Clouds and Puddles Monday, May 4 – Mother’s Day Flowers Monday, May 18 – Monkeys, Zebras and the Zoo Limited to 10 families per session. Sessions are $5 per family or $20 for the entire season. All ages are welcome. Please go to the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church Website for Special Events Coming Up.

Holy Week

Palm Sunday, March 29, 10:30am We will walk with Jesus into Jerusalem as we remember the steps he took to win our salvation. We will begin our worship outside the sanctuary in the entryway area. We will each receive a palm branch and march into the sanctuary singing a hymn and laying our palm branch at the foot of the cross and be seated. Then we will hear the details of both Jesus’ love and sacrifice! Holy Thursday, April 2, 7pm This is a special communion service that commemorates both the “new command” that Jesus gave to his disciples to “love one another”, and also the gift of his body and blood to us in the Lord’s Supper. Good Friday Tenebrae, April 3, 7pm This service is a service of darkness in which we remember the final “seven words” of Jesus on the cross and his final loving actions in winning our salvation. The church is progressively darkened and candles extinguished to recount Jesus’ crucifixion and death. But one light remains to remind us of the new life (Easter) that is to come. Easter Sunday Worship, April 5, 10:30am We look into the empty tomb and rejoice that Jesus is risen! 9:00-10:15 am Easter Breakfast 10:30 am Easter Worship 11:30 am Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Breakfast

There will be an Easter breakfast at 9:00 am on Easter Sunday. Eggs, sausage and breakfast staples will be provided, but we are in need of fruit, pastries and other breakfast items for Easter breakfast. If you would like to bring something to share, please see the sign-up sheet on the entryway table.

Call Received

Pastor Holz has received a call to serve at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Richland Center, Wisconsin. Bethlehem is a small church that started seven years ago as a mission church. They are calling their first full time pastor. What does this mean? Pastor Holz now has calls to both Bethlehem in Richland Center and here at Beautiful Savior. He asks for your advice, wisdom, and prayers for him and Pamela and family as he deliberates where to serve.

Lunch Bunch

Lunch Bunch will take place on Wednesday, March 18, at 11:30 am. Lunch will be served here at church for our older and/or retired members and friends. If you would like to attend please sign up on the entryway table. If you have questions, please talk with Doris Harvey or Pastor Holz.

After Service Lunch Fellowship
New Member Welcome Dinner

On Sunday, March 22, we will be having a special dinner following our church service. Our guests of honor will be all the new members who have joined us in the past year. Fried chicken will be provided, and attendees are invited to bring along a dish to share (a side or a dessert). Please see the sign-up sheet on the entry way table to indicate what you will bring. Everyone is welcome!

Spring Clean Up Day

Our annual “Spring Ceaning” will take place Saturday, March 21, starting at 9am. We will be doing both inside and outside projects. Outside will require the most help as we will be working on the front mulch beds that surround the front of the church. Please bring along hand tools, hedge trimmer, etc. as we work to beautify our church grounds as we prepare for the spring and the celebration of Easter. Doughnuts, coffee, and juice will be provided. In case of rain, we will push the workday to the following Saturday, March 28.

Mornings With Mommy

RACE and PEACE be with YOU and your beautiful FAMILY! Hello everyone! My name Is Samantha! I am so blessed to be continuing guidance for Mornings with Mommy at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church – Clarksville! I am so excited to meet with you and invite you to join a heart-centered, Mommy community! Let me introduce myself! I am a retired Army Veteran and member of Beautiful Savior for about 2+ years now! I have 3 wonderful boys a 7-year-old, 2-year-old, and 7-month-old. I intend on opening up the Mornings with Mommy program again in March with “Fun with Food” Theme. I would love to hear back from you who have attended in the past and those interested! Introduce yourselves and let me know if you have any advice or suggestions! I’ll be posting the upcoming schedule of events later this week! I am so excited to meet you all and spend some quality time making events memorable for you and your families! Samantha

Chili Cook Off and Cake Bake

Bring your best chili and/or your favorite cake to take part in the fun. A panel of judges will sample our creations and declare a winner in three categories: best chili, best cake (non-chocolate), and best cake (chocolate). To be judged, all chilies and cakes must be brought to church no later than 5:00 pm on Saturday, February 21. The meal will start at 5:30 pm.

Worship Tech Committee

We are looking for people interested in researching how we can incorporate Audio/Visual and technology to enhance and improve our worship experience.  We are blessed to offer worship via live stream and have made many improvements to that over the years, but we are also looking to enhance our in-person worship experience as well.  If you would like to serve on this committee, please speak with Art Ebbinger.

Altar Paraments

As part of our 25th Anniversary, new altar paraments were created. During the season of Epiphany (and also Pentecost this summer) you will see the green altar cloth. Green symbolizes new life and growth, and symbolizes the gathering in of the Gentiles and the new life that comes with the revelation of Christ to the world….
